Here is the latest
press release from NCR. The public meeting on the 13th Feb
goes ahead in the Keadeen at 8pm.
Just before An Bórd Pleanála were due to give their decision (30th Jan),
a company called Clemens Pont Ltd ( closely connected to White Water )
has applied to Kildare County Council for planning permission (08/51)
for an 8 screen cinema at the rear of the White Water shopping centre.
With the objective of looking more closely at this
planning application and informing the local community about it , NCR
have arranged a public meeting
in the Meadow Court room in The Hotel Keadeen for 8pm on Wednesday, 13th
February.
Invited are the public, local councillors and White Water representatives.

White Water have already declined the invite saying they will be in touch with local elected representatives during the planning process.

Yes, White Water are appealling to An Bórd Pleanála, following the Council's
recent decision to refuse permission to change the cinema from its current
site within the Shopping Centre.

NCR has welcomed Kildare County Council’s decision last week to
turn down Whitewater’s request to turn the current cinema space
into shops and a crèche. Whitewater has until 18th
September to appeal the decision to An Bórd Pleanala.
Several local politicians have called on the company not to appeal the
decision and to complete the cinema at its current location.
